This monitor arm is a really great product. It works exactly as it's supposed to and is easy enough to set up, although the instructions could be more in-depth. It helps to clear out space on my desk that the normal monitor stand would usually take up, allowing me to work more efficiently. It also improves the ergonomics of my entire desk by allowing for far greater adjustability of the screen. Finally, it helps with the visuals of my setup because it hides cables with the built-in cable management.
For those who are wondering, the arm can move up-and-down, forward-and-back, and can rotate around once set up. However, it can't really move side-to-side--for that, you have to readjust the desk mount part.
Overall, this monitor arm is really effective and is a great deal at this price!

I bought the standing desk from Desky and the height wasnt till where I wanted it to be - part of being tall (6'5"). Hence I purchased Desky Single Gas Eco Monitor Arm which would essentially raise the height and give a comfortable viewing position. No more neck pain - absolutely easy viewing/working. I would recommend this product totally for any tall folks out there!
The arm moves great. Has great tension. I read the arm would be able to support up to 22lbs. I put a gamer 17’ laptop on the universal laptop mount and the joint behind the mount piece could not hold. Just an FYI. It did hold my 16’ MacBook. My concern is the joint because you’re not suppose to over tighten therefore the tightest I can place it, isn’t as taut and may loosen over time.
