What's the difference between the Desky Pro Active Stool and the Desky Active Stool?

Both offer the same health benefits for your sit stand lifestyle. But the Pro Active is an ergonomic office stool with a weighted base, locking the centre of gravity to the floor, supporting your weight and keeping upright as you lean into it, supporting even the largest frames. The Desky Active Stool's base is more 'wobbly' and allows you to lean to take a break from your mainly-standing work style.

What are the benefits of an ergonomic office stool?

The benefits of an ergonomic sit-stand stool are rest and recovery between standing periods. An adjustable office stool allows alternating between a resting posture and a standing posture reduces discomfort and decreases the strain placed on the joints of the ankles, knees, hips and spine.

When and how often should you use an adjustable office stool?

Getting up and moving around is not enough to relieve hip, back and neck strain. It is recommended that you change position at least every 30 minutes to avoid a slumped, uncomfortable posture. This is easy on a backless office stool. Even on an adjustable office stool, unless you are working hard to maintain a good sitting position, it's easy to start slouching.
