If you want to make a bold statement, breaking away from received ideas as to how an office should look, then Pheasantwood is the wood for you. It resembles the tail-feathers of pheasants, ranging from a medium to dark brown, to nearly black, with lighter brown contrasting stripes which are enhanced once varnished. Making it beautiful and desirable.
Walnut is a classic and is used in executive office or formal furniture. So if that’s the impression you’re going for, look no further than walnut’s smooth, high gloss, warm brown, luxurious finish. Usually found in traditional, darker interiors, it also provides the perfect contrast to a contemporary office set-up. In contrast to walnut,
White Oak offers a simple, almost white finish with a tight grain which fits perfectly in today’s minimal workspace. Maybe you don’t want your hardwood desk to be a centerpiece, then choose White Oak and allow its beautiful natural tones to blend perfectly; the epitome of understatement.
Unsurprisingly, Red Oak has an attractive distinct red tinge. And because the open pores in red oak absorb stain, the grain patterns become very evident when a dark stain is used as a finish. It can have a slightly rustic look which may suit a home office if the desk has to double up but depending on the varnish, it’s attractive and unobtrusive, finishing off any design concept nicely.
White Ash is frequently used for both home and office furniture since it completely suits today’s Scandi-aesthetic. Offering beige without any clear markings, you get something utilitarian, durable and pleasantly familiar.

We also utilize Teak wood and Pheasantwood from Vietnam. Each hardwood is carefully selected and crafted to create durable and beautiful desk tops. Desky’s wooden desktop range contains no Formaldehyde resin in the manufacturing process. Meaning your home and office will be safe from any harmful chemicals.
Our desktops are air dried, coated with a single-pack lacquer and then air-cured before being packaged up. This process protects the beautiful natural finish of the wood, enhances its natural grains and tones and ensures there are no volatile organic compounds once finalised.

Steel Reinforcements: Our Desky wooden desks have vertically inserted bars of reinforced steel beneath the tabletop, further strengthening our desks' already best-in-class strength, stability and thickness. This significant upgrade can also help to reduce wobbles and perhaps eliminate the possibility of warping. The quantity of reinforcements included on each tabletop varies by size, with more being added to longer table tops
Precision Slots: Desky is proactively avoiding even the tiniest risk of warpage with the help of precision cut slots, and our leading 25mm desktop thickness. The slots are precisely cut gaps using CNC technology that are embedded to the underside of table surfaces. These spacers offer the desk adequate flexibility and space to expand and contract organically without putting other portions of the table top under stress.
Threaded Inserts: Desky Desktop Inserts are designed and placed on our desktops with precision engineering to ensure optimal longevity. These machined threads enable precise tabletop installation on the frame, as well as the ability to build and disassemble your Desky as needed. This will ensure that your tabletop lasts a lifetime.
FSC certified: Desky supports responsible forest management and is committed to producing quality products from quality materials that are backed by globally recognised certifications. We source our raw materials from suppliers who have been independently verified as compliant with a chain of custody standards, meaning that materials are produced using legally-sourced wood fibres from certified sustainably managed forests.

All our Desky wood desk tops have pre drilled inserts which match up to our Desky Dual frame, while it may be possible to retrofit our table tops onto your existing furniture we cannot guarantee a fit. Please check the specifications or reach our to helpful team.
Our solid wood desktops are built to last and will actually harden over time. While they can get scratches and dents, many people feel this simply adds character. As the wood ages naturally, its colour may also shift, becoming slightly lighter or darker. Each desktop is finished with a smooth, durable polyurethane coating for protection.
Our Hardwood desktops are made from 100% solid wood and are built to last. The desktop is thicker than most desktops at 25mm and there are metal support braces within the desktop itself to help prevent sagging under load and at longer lengths.
Unfortunately, our Hardwood desktops are only offered in a limited selection of rectangular sizes and are not available with an Ergo Edge option.
All of our Pheasantwood desktops have a unique front and back 'Live' edge. This means that no two desktops are the same and each edge will have the characteristic undulations of the natural shape of the timber slab it was cut from.

These desktops come with predrilled holes for our dual motor frame. However if you had an electric drill you can secure any frame to this desktop.
I originally bought the Desky Dual frame and was using another desktop. However, it did not integrate very well and the features of the desky hardtop desktop were missing (reinforced screw inserts, cuts to stop any warping, and the walnut finish!). Once I made the purchase I was very happy. My desktop is the 1500 x 70 size

Love my Desky desk, operates quietly and the pheasant solid wood desktop is drop dead gorgeous, I highly recommended..
Not good, the desks are lovely, we are very happy with them, but the shipping and receiving services are awful. Maybe not entirely Desky's fault. But it wasn't easy getting what we needed in a reasonable time frame.
Overall quit satisfied with the desk. The support was excellent when I had troubles with a Pine softwood desktop what had cracks in it. I got an excellent support from Desky and now am very satisfied with my White Oad desk.
Love the produce. Looks amazing! And the quick and receptive customer service is amazing.
